The Broward Association for Marriage and Family Therapy is South Florida’s premier association of marriage and family therapists. BAMFT provides MFTs and their professional colleagues the opportunity to network, collaborate, and fulfill the State of Florida’s continuing education requirements for licensure and renewal.

The Broward Association for Marriage and Family Therapy is a chapter of the Florida Association for Marriage and Family Therapy which is a Division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Through the Florida Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (www.famft.org), BAMFT advances the interests of the profession and its members, locally and throughout Florida.

Reduce CEU Costs: Become a BAMFT 2010 Workshop Subscriber!

There are no BAMFT Chapter dues. BAMFT funds its workshops and special events through workshop subscriptions and tuition fees.  Save on the cost of CEUs by purchasing a 2010 Workshop Subscription. Participants may also choose to pay for individual workshops.  Registration fees for individual workshops and conferences may vary.

AAMFT members save even more on workshop subscriptions! Also, clinicians and graduate students who are members of AAMFT are automatically voting members of BAMFT.  Join AAMFT by clicking here.

New Domestic Violence Requirement for New Licensees as of December 10, 2009

The board has changed rule 64B4-6.001, F.A.C. to add that new licensees (licensed for the first time on 12/10/09 or after) must complete a 2-hour course in Domestic Violence within 6 months of licensure.

Within six (6) months of initial licensure and every third renewal thereafter, a licensee must complete a 2-hour continuing education course on Domestic Violence.
